| Hi darling readers, this is the second installation of my new feature for this blog called "Style Me For Less". It sounds like it should be a TV show, maybe it is and they stole my name. Well, I never know when I am going find my next magazine page that makes me stop what I am doing and run to my closet. It happened today as I was going through some bins in the garage getting ready for my yard sale this weekend. I found this random page from "In Style" mag. It was wrinkled and just lying there in a bin. I snatched it up and went straight to my closet, here's what I came up with. Darn, now I need a celery scarf but this one did the trick because the idea is to use what you already have in your own closet. |

| Their cost: don't faint, $1,857.00 My cost: Even with 2 Coach items which includes the bag and sunglasses plus a new pair of shoes, my outfit was significantly less at $166.00. Now, if you really want to applaud me, take away the Coach sunglasses and throw in a pair of my vintage thrifted ones and make it $30.00 total for everything. It really pays to thrift. I like your version way better because your orange scarf is a much friendlier color than that weird sour lemon color on theirs! Your price is sixty times better, too!

Okay, I have an orange scarf. Surely I can dig up a striped top and jeans. I need to put this together and make it happen.

There used to be a TV show called The Look For Less where they would pick a runway look and then challenge the participant and a stylist to find the look for less than $100.00 in an hour. It was a fun show and they literally ran to find the look.

The feeling that I had while reading this post was pride. I feel that as bloggers we are blazing a new trail of thriftiness and anti-consumerism. Your outfit is every bit as awesome as theirs. Way to go Dawn! The lime vs. mango scarves make for two different looks, but equally good ones.
