STYLE ME FOR LESS...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Hi, welcome to my 3rd installment of "Style Me For Less".  I never know when an outfit inspiration will come but as soon as I saw this one, I knew that I could find similar pieces in my closet.   The only thing with this installment is that I don't have the prices of the items in the photo that I found in one of my old Lucky magazines.  The entire point of this feature on my blog, was to compare prices but lets just imagine that her outfit is much more expensive than mine.  I went with the cozy look even though y'all know I'm sexy am I know it!!!

Of course, I didn't have the exact pieces in my closet but with my self imposed shopping ban, I was (happily) forced to wear what I already own.  To be honest with you dear friends, I have not even made a dent in my closets.  Without having shopped for clothing other than vintage for over a month, I still have tons of outfits and items that I have not yet worn.  I have too much and it's overwhelming at times.  I did however, compile two bags of clothing that are going to be swapped, given away or donated.  One bag went to my sister.   My process is slow because I am wearing things that I bought and deciding after having worn them, if they are keepers or not.  I am giving myself until Spring to have an organized closet full of items that I really like, ones I will want to wear and remix.  It is not easy to not shop but instead of drowning in a sea of clothing, I am swimming in what I already own.  Hey, I like that!!! Have a great day and don't forget to give thanks!!! dawn xo

I am thankful for so many things, God in my life, a great husband, family and friends(including bloggie friends) the warmest, coziest bed, hot water for a shower, a good job that includes church on Sundays, good health, a car that runs good and is paid for, healthy pets, a place to go on Thanksgiving, a clear mind, cold weather, peaceful mornings with coffee and just a good feeling of well being knowing that I am good standing with God.  Amen to that!  Dawn xo

Well, you know I'm not much for religion/church, but I wholeheartedly agree with the idea of acknowledging what you have and being thankful for it.
You look beautiful in red, my dear, and I always appreciate your bargainista take on a look.
Happy Thanksgiving, Dawn! xxxx

You look gorgeous! I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving.

One of the perks of being pregnant and grumpy is the ruthlessness I've been able to apply to my closet. :) I realized I bought waaaay too much stuff just to wear for the blog.

oh, that wall is in my family room. It had this old funky brick paneling so I smeared joint compound over here and there and painted the exposed "brick" with different tones. My husband is far from handy and it went from butt ugly to pretty slick for just a few bucks.
