OUTFOXED....

I finally felt like getting dressed yesterday and sprung into action.  I wore this to the thrift because it had been a whole day since I had gone to Goodwill.  I took a few days off from the gym to recover from that atrocious cold I had.  Thank you for all of your well wishes, you really are a great bunch of people.

I finally dyed my hair which takes two boxes of Clairol, medium auburn because it's the least expensive dye that walmart sells.  I have not had my haircut since May.  My stylist is in a coma.  No lie.  She is this wonderful, young girl who had been cutting my hair at hair cuttery (told ya I was cheap) for over 4 years.  I am so upset with this entire situation.  She was in a bad car accident around Christmas. I can't get a haircut which is fine but the fact that she is still not well makes my heart ache.  Rob went to get his hair cut by her and the stylist at the shop told him the story.   I was shocked that the stylist would divulge such personal information but I'm glad that she did so that I know what happened.  I have prayed for her and even thought about going to see her in the hospital.  She's not just my stylist, I thought of her as a friend.  To make this story more crazy, her best friend lives 2 doors from me.  I stopped one morning on the way to the gym when I saw her (Angelique) and introduced myself telling her that her best friend used to cut my hair and that I live 2 doors down.  She filled me in on the details as we both fought back tears.  It does not look good as of now but I have faith that God has a plan.

I later changed to black flat boots to go thrifting which is what I should have worn with this outfit for the photos.

Caroline put her paw in my hand.  Why am I such a cat person?  These dogs love me.

Have a great day!!!  Thank you for dropping in.  Working movie/snack night with the seniors tonight.  Probably watch some Golden Girl episodes.  Last night somebody ate a bingo chip again.  I have been lucky so far to have been able to stave off any choking by reclaiming the bingo chips from their mouths.  Hazards of the job.  God bless their hearts.  Thrifted, vintage dress from late 80's to early 90's, DKNY thrifted cardi, vintage thrifted boots.

How impressed was I with myself when I came up with this word (outfoxed) for 73 points on words with friends???  I might be addicted, just what I need, more distractions.

Am so sorry to hear of your stylist being in a coma, that is horrible. Poor girl, I will send some prayers for her. So glad you have been feeling better!! Nothing like getting up and dressed after feeling poorly. Your hair always looks marvellous, I'd trade with you any day I tell you :) Mine is a monster sometimes, haha. But, you look gorgeous. I hope you have a marvellous week doll xoxo

I really like how you styled this floral dress - the textured yellow cardigan and blue hat add so much interest to this look! So sorry to hear about your stylist.
I spend a lot of time grandma-sitting, and now I'm glad that she doesn't try to eat nonedible things ...

So sorry to hear about your stylist friend. I hope she gets better soon.

I have to say though, that your hair still looks amazing. I'm getting mine cut & colored tomorrow because it does not look amazing. At all.

Sorry you have been sick, Dawn, but you are looking great. Love the dress, and of course your always-fabulous hair. And the pic with the dogs is just adorable!

So glad you're feeling better, and you look marvelous!

The news about your stylist and friend saddens me deeply; you know, it won't hurt a thing for you to go see her and talking with her about happy memories will make you feel better (which is important too y'know) and I'm sure that somewhere she'll be able to hear you. Sending warm and loving thoughts to she and her family.

looking cute and healthy here Dawn! Glad you're out thrifting again.
What a very sad story about your stylist. Horrible times for all who have been connected to her I'm sure. She must have quite a fight going on.
Glad she has you to hold her up in prayer and hopeful thoughts. Miracles happen!

dawn, i always thought you were a dog person. now i know you're an animal lover. that is so sad about your hair dresser. i laughed when you said you hadn't been to goodwill in one whole day. your outfit is foxy! my guy adores words with friends. i didn't know some of the seniors swallowed their bingo chips. eeeeeek! ;)

I don't even know her but I'm so sorry about your stylist - her loved ones must be so distraught. I truly hope she pulls through; keep us posted.

I like that you have a sense of humour about this and without missing a beat nonchalantly mention someone eating a bingo chip (to be fair, they are very cracker-shaped). We find things to laugh about concerning my grandparents on a weekly basis. It's not that we don't respect them, it's about seeing the humour in ageing which can be a painfully real process and one that takes a toll on caregivers.

Anyways, your hair doesn't look like it's been missing TLC. Still as fabulous as always.

I love everything about this outfit, the slouchy hat is the icing on the cake (and the dogs make for the cutest accessories!) Yikes that is such a sad story about her stylist, wishing her a speedy recovery! I love how you say you hadn't been to Goodwill in a day, is it a daily outing for you? I wish it was for me but need to save $!
