PINTEREST INSPIRED...mini bedroom change

Hello darling readers, I was so excited when I found this photo on Pinterest I knew immediately that I could achieve this look in my bedroom.   I had a big ole steamer trunk next to my bed before but now I have this cute little shelf that I had in the garage next to my bed.  I didn't have to buy anything, I gathered items from my spare bedroom and other places in the house to achieve this cute bedside vignette.

Big boy Blackers is staring at the steamer trunk that I moved...he hates change.

The wonderful thing about this is that all of these items were thrifted or gifted.  This design was created as part of a bedroom featured in the The Philadelphia Home Show.  I clicked on the site listed on Pinterest and did a little investigating to give proper credit for the photo and found the designer's awesome blog call The Painted Home.  Visit Denise's blog here.  See the bedroom she created with this shelf in it here.   I have already borrowed another one of her ideas for Fall decorating that can take me through Thanksgiving.

This is great! Reminds me a little bit of Megan Bird's decor, which I adore.

And I love your kitty, because obviously.

That looks adorable!! I love what you did here. I wish I had room to do this in our bedroom. There's only a few inches on either side of our bed that would allow for night stands of any suitable size. But I just love this. Great use for suitcases too.

We are a match made in blogger heaven...I just added suitcases to OUR bedroom decor. But not to our bedside tables. And I regret to say mine were faux-vintage from a big box stuff so you get the brownie points for authenticity. Anyways, this is very cute and I love when people find pinspiration!
