MY LITTLE BLACK BOOK....of fashion

  MY FASHION ROCKS BOOK.....

This book is full of fashion inspiration....

Torn pages from years of collecting images that grabbed my attention and outfits I want to interpret.

I will improvise of course, using only the things in my closet which makes it challenging...
Here is an Ugg ad that snagged my attention with its bohmeian, slouchy feel....and below is my interpretation....
Purple is the color that I have least of in my closet.  I had to dig the boots out of a garage bin since I have never owned a pair of Uggs.  I do however own Kuggs which are the Kmart version...ha ha, I am serious.

And here is a photo that I softened using the editor on photobucket.  My interpretation looks too raw...maybe I will soften them next time...
Darlings, we made it to Friday which is always exciting.   I have been wanting to share my little black book with you.  It is chock full of magazine pages that I have torn out and filed under fashion.  They are outfits that still, to this day, inspire me.  I want to begin putting these outfits together using only items in my closet.  I am forbidden to go to the thrift to look for something that will make it look exactly the same.  I am going to put my spin on it and get creative.  Now, I know that I do this on Inspiration Mondays with TwoBirds but the outfit is of their choosing which I love but I  also want to use the pages that are in my little black book of fashion.  Are you currently hiding putting together an inspiration board or black book?  Perhaps you have one already?  I would love to know or maybe see it.  Mine is not fancy at all, it is just a black binder with mounds of pages.  It is time to dig in! Let me know what you think...have a great day and a fabulous weekend.  dawn xo

Just yesterday I threw out a stack of mag pages I had torn out of various clothes, shoes, beauty products I liked. I started to sense I was becoming a hoarder so I tossed them! Funny you posted this! When I first looked at the pics, i thought it was the same model then I realized it was you! Great look!

I have a bulletin board in my closet that I tack up magazine/catalog ideas and of course my beloved Pinterest!

I have a file folder full of inspiration pictures. Pinterest is also full of inspirations. I think I will get my folder out tonight and look through it.
You look lovely in purple and Kuggs? Well it makes sense K-mart K-uggs...

I love how you transitioned from that ugg ad to your own photos! I almost didn't realize it! Well done! I don't have a special binder, but I should probably come up with a better system than tearing out pages and leaving them all over the place!

Hi Dawn,
I just love what you have created with your fashion book. I need to assemble an inspiration lookbook like this! Love all the fun elements in this ensemble too!
Have a fun weekend ahead!

Dawn, that purple mix looks so good on you! I love your book of fashion inspiration. It's a great way to clip pics and build on what they have done. You always add the perfect twist to your outfit to make it your own. Such a doll! Have a fantabulous weekend my friend! ((HUG))

You did a stellar job with this. Usually people who don't have a lot of a certain colour in their closet have it in a top, or maybe a tee-shirt. But wow, a purple hat and purple tights!! Those are so fun to play with.

I'm using Pinterest now as a black book. But then I'll see something in print and wonder whether to start a paper version as well.
