THRIFT EXCURSION....stripes and florals

Lightweight cotton floral blazer...$2 half price.

vintage 80's pin 99cents

Casual Corner striped cotton sweater $3.99

Gap cardi. $3.99

Hat with bow $1.99

Charter Club nautical knit $3.99

Express rose printed  wrap skirt $3.99

Striped black and white cotton skirt $1.99

Ralph Lauren nautical dress with rope belt $3 at half price

Payless striped sandals found on another thrift excursion a while back...thought this would be nice to take on a trip.

Vintage skirt that appears to be homemade/no tag on inside. Love the pukey color.

Tory Burch nautical Tee .99cents...a real steal and super cute for Summer and Spring.

I paired it with the Ralph Lauren belt and striped skirt...cute outfit for less than $10

Brand new Merona boots with tags attached $8.  I know this all adds up to more than 28 but I must had more half price items in this haul than I thought....lucky me.
Hello, I hope your morning is going well and you're off to a great start having had your hot coffee or tea.  Mine started out much better today than yesterday.  Little Timothy Winter kitty jumped in bed with me 2 nights in a row, something he has never done.  It makes me so happy to know that he is learning that body heat is a good thing.  I have tried in the past to get him to sleep close but he would fight to get away opting to sleep on or under a chair in the dining room or basement.  I always place one of my best wool sweaters under the chair which is covered with a Target chair cover for extra coziness under there.  He stalks the other cats when not sleeping by jumping out from his cozy little spot.  He is funny and he brings me so much happiness.  This is him at a year old in his new bed from Walmart (in which he put holes in already) sleeping on the window sill in my bedroom.

I went thrifting the other day and  stuck to my plan to only buy things that I would wear tomorrow, pieces that I really love and can see as part of my Spring wardrobe.  I spent 28 dollars making that 37 dollars for the month.  It is not easy  for me to stick to any plan especially when it comes to thrifting but I have to if I want to keep my closet and spare room organized plus it is so nice to get dressed when you know where everything is located.  It is so freeing, cuts down on time and eliminates a totally  decimated closet when I am in a hurry. Pictured are the items I purchased.  Thanks for dropping in, have a great day!!!   The only vintage pieces are the green skirt and the floral jacket, DO YOU SEE A REPEATING THEME?  FLOWERS AND STRIPES...I DID'NT PLAN THIS IT JUST HAPPENED which is one of the most special aspects of thrifting for me.     Dawn xo

Dawn ... love your thrifted finds! You did a great job picking things that you really could see yourself wearing and getting lots of use out of this Spring b/c as I was scrolling through your finds, I kept saying to myself, "oh, that is so dawn", and "wow, that would look so amazing with her red locks" :)

On a side note, animals sure do add a lot of love and happiness to our lives! So proud to be a fur-mom :)

Hope you have an amazing day!

That floral blazer is one of the greatest pieces I've ever seen! Fo sho! And FYI...if you ever decide you don't love, want, or need it anymore, I will gladly take it off your hands...I'll even pay double :) What an awesome pile of clothes you got! I went to the Salvation Army and literally spent $49...the most ever but I walked out with two big garbage bags full. #winning!

I checked your post earlier but honestly didn't feel like I could do it justice with a comment. My work is hell and it's only beginning. These next few months are going to be very trying and I'm not sure if I'm up for the challenge. I can't publicly talk about it so you won't see anything on the blog.
I just haven't had it in me to do this weeks link up. I'll see if I can come up with something by weeks end. You are a sweet person and I truly think we could be great friends.....BTW, I'm not sure how important followers are to me. I do really like the comments. Sometimes that really helps me to get through the day.
Hope I didn't bum you out. feels kinda good to vent!!
Have a good week and you did great thrifting!!
