MIRROR MIRROR

Hello darlings, I didn't have anything prepared for my post today so here I am at home playing in the mirror with my camera.  I like how the mirror reflects its age with dark spots in the photo.  It adds a bit of character to the photo or you may think I have smudges on my walls.  I then played with the color a little to try to make the photo look old but it didn't quite look right so  I changed it back.  I know, I know, too much time on my hands.  Some photos, depending on the subject matter, look really good with sepia, or a grainy look added to them.  These did not.  I had posted this thrifted, H&M, pleated dress before but my hair was different and I was outside.  My necklace is vintage and thrifted as well.  My earring are from the Victorian era and have been altered by me to shorten them plus they were missing a bead or 2 so I made them even. They were a gift from a friend that I worked with in the past and have always been a favorite of mine.

Of course, I had to discover that I could align myself with my deer antlers and spent the next few minutes playing around with that shot.  It was rainy today so I never quite made it out of the house except to feed Harvey, the stray cat, at 6 a.m. in my pajamas.  Does anybody else go outside in their pj's?  I do, all of the time.  It's funny because my neighbor, the older gent next door, is always in his too.  We never speak to each other, it's weird but we are aware of one another.  It's not that I am not friendly or nice, it's just that we never really got to know them like other neighbors.  You know what I mean.  Everybody has neighbors that you just don't talk to.  We both wear the same thing, I swear, long cotton bottoms and a white tee.  Sometimes I catch him without a shirt and I chuckle because I am sure he has unfortunately seen me without a bra. ooops, I mean,  poor thing!   I was in my pj 's most of the day and made my husband chicken and dumplings for dinner, caught up on 600 unread emails, renewed my Arbonne skin care membership status, cleaned my entire closet out by purging over 100 items ok, maybe 150 for my upcoming neighborhood yard sale this weekend, did wash, I could go on but I would bore you to death.  I hope you are having a productive, happy Wednesday and tomorrow I will be posting Thursday's thrift finds from my treasure chest, church thrift store.  I swear those ladies love me in there...they hug and kiss me hello and goodbye...too much.  No, it's not becasue i spend money...they really like me...:)  Dawn xo

Yes I do go out in my pjs to get the newspaper. My husband hates it when I do, but I am just as covered as I am in street clothes.

hehe! I sometimes cannot part with my PJs too, I'm sure yours look better than mine. Mine is very very unpresentable, beyond human comprehension. By the way you look so beautiful upclose, you must do more close up shots, I like it too that you pull back your hair, the green top is lovely

Dawnie I love the green dress with pleats. Very 60's, very Valley of the Dolls.
