FRONT PORCH TRAVELS....to the beach

here is the reveal of the fireplace mantel ...I moved it to the front porch from the garage!!  Yes, all by myself....inch by inch I pushed and pulled that heavy thing.  I was determined to have a cute front porch this season....

i was happy to be able to use all of my beach decor that I had in the garage or house....of course, everything is thrifted, even that big piece of coral that you see at the bottom. Recently purchased for $4.99 at Goodwill.

the driftwood, I have been collecting for years from various beaches in New Jersey, finally got put  to good use...

the mirror is from Target but I got it at Goodwill for a few bucks, new in box...
the shells in the glass vase were originally in my bedroom but I borrowed them for the mantel....

i pulled some vinca vine from my garden and inserted them into the glass tubes so that they will look cool once the roots get really long....I love how roots look when the are floating in clear glass.  I found that cool piece with the glass test tubes/vases at the Village thrift for less than $6.00 and it was made in India...

i love how the shells on the book can be viewed from the glass tubes/vases

found the sign at Goodwill $1.99

i added white rocks to a wire basket along with some shells for a clean look and I found the big blue ore at the curbside.

so if you drop by this summer, I hope you do...we can have a tall glass of your drink of choice on the front lawn.  Oh by the way, I can't wait to decorate this mantel for the upcoming holidays like Fall(because that is my holiday) Halloween, ThanksGiving and Christmas....have a great weekend.  lots of love, Dawnxo

I just love how this looks. Who would think to put it on the porch...that was an inspired idea. I have been thinking I wanted a seashell decorated mantel too right now but I don't have a collection of seashells. I actually posted about this very subject today. Love your's so much! You should link this up to Mod Mix Monday over at my blog on Monday....I'd love my readers to see this.

You are officially the only person I know that has a fireplace on their porch!
It looks incredible! If I lived near you I would stop by and even bring the wine!
