FIRED UP!

My painted piece...a business card holder for my Suitcase Vignettes business cards.  I can't wait to see the finished product when I pick it up Thursday....

Friday evening my Aunt Eileen, of the blogs The Fox is Dead and Three Piece Bikini, booked a pottery painting party on Diva Night at All Fired Up Pottery Studio in Collingswood, NJ where I grew up.  She invited  her sister,  who is my Aunt Margie, and 5 of her close girlfriends for a night of fun and creativity. (we were really just there for the social aspect of it, you know, to poke fun at each other and cause trouble, just kidding).  Anyway, here are a few of the photos from our Diva night at All Fired Up!!  It was more than I expected as we were seated at a long, wooden table (not far from the food which was buffet style).  Thank God, I was hungry.  There was an $8.00 sitting fee for the use of their paint and other supplies that you needed to decorate your chosen piece of unpainted pottery.  There were so many great choices but I stuck with a useful business card holder that I painted a pretty blue color with cherries on the front.  My Aunt Eileen painted a small, round catchall with the lid resembling a sunflower as a gift for someone and Aunt Margie painted a colorful fish tray.  We were quite impressed with Margie's painting skills.  There is a lot of talent in my family, not to mention beauty, brains and blogging too.   At the end of the evening we left our painted pieces at the studio until Thursday so that they could put them in the kiln and fire them up!  Wanna have a painting party with your gal pals?  Check out mailto:pamandkim@paintatallfiredup.com and get your hands dirty on Diva night.   Lots of love, Dawn xoxo  Tomorrow I am linking up with Twobirds boutique for Inspiration Monday...I will be dressing to emulate Brooklyn Decker.  Stop by or join in and link up at twobirds.  Ok Divas, Rob is making me a mojito with fresh mint from our yard....whoohoo that should get me all fired up!!!  I think that this will be my new mantra...fired up, fired up!!!  Have a great Sunday night.  Dawn xoxo
