THE BLIZZARD...

We had a blizzard in 2010.  It was absolutely beautiful here in NJ...

Snow makes everything appear so magical...it gave our home some curb appeal....it was a lot of snow.

These could potentially kill you...

This is my road where I take my photos with the dogs...

I do love the cold and the snow, this makes for a nice Christmas card....

Nothing like a frosty wine glass....

A bit staged...but fun!!

And then there's this little guy who brought the Christmas joy more than anything in the world...Timothy Winter.  Christmas gift....2010.  He is a rescue that rescued my heart.  Thanks for walking down memory lane.  My mom is home from the hospital...she is doing well.  Thank you for your well wishes.. it means alot, sincerely, Dawn xoxo

So much snow! I have never experienced snow to this magnitude, we do get some here, but being in the south of the country it's a lot less than that further north. Everything does look so magical but since I started feeding the wild birds regularly a few years back, I feel for them so much in the winter months anyway so the snow makes it so much harder for them, poor little things. Your little cat looks so blissfully happy x

So beautiful!! Love the snowy images...I miss winters like that...they are magical!! The snow isn't the same here, so I don't like it at all in the winter. I bet if I lived in the Highlands I would like it more. These remind me of winters back home in Michigan and we would get ice-cycles like that on our house and they can indeed kill you, we would have to go and get them taken off to be safe. You both look wonderful...so sweet, adore those pics of the picnic outside..romantic :)) I hope you are having a wonderful week so far petal!! xox

A snowy picnic? You crazy kids! Far too chilly for that, although wine would help... The snow is certainly beautiful. So is Timothy, what a cutie with his little pink nose!
Good to know your mum is improving, Dawn. xxxx

Your photos are wonderful but snow! cold! argh! I'll send you mine and take two springs and skip ahead to autumn.

So glad your mom is home and yay for the 'rescues' who rescue us. (We may have one or two like that around here as well...)

Dawn, I'm so happy to hear the news about your mom! That is fantastic! BOY, did you guys get snow that year! That would cripple everything in New Orleans. When it snowed for 15 minutes here everything stopped pretty much. HaHaHa It is absolutely gorgeous girl. I love the picnic in the snow! HAHAHA I would've never thought of that. That would definitely be a pretty greeting card. Your hair, hat and outfit looked gorgeous on you Dawn. Love the kitten pic! So precious!

All these photos are breathtaking Dawn. Magical is the best way to describe it. It's blizzards like these that remind us that maybe the winters of our youth aren't gone forever - I hope you have a white Christmas this year. We were looking forward to a big walloping of snow this week but the forecast changed to rain and freezing rain...think a good thought for us!

Such a cute idea for a Christmas card. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you were the creative mind behind this idea?

The are great pictures Dawn! Makes me look forward to snow, but my dear warm weather husband would never participate in poses like that. ;) He belongs in Panama.
