RUFFLED POET....

Darling readers, I am so excited to finally wear this Forenza, yes, I said Forenza, poet blouse that I thrifted years ago.  I just couldn't think of how to wear it until today.  I have lots of items in my closet like this.  I am strongly considering not shopping this Winter until Spring.  I may start soon and not wait until Winter.  I need to purge and really hone in on what looks good on my figure, what I love, can't part with, and what makes me feel my best.  I have a good mix of vintage and more contemporary pieces that need to be remixed or donated but if I keep shopping I will never get to them.  Is there anybody else out there like this?  I'm sure I am not alone.  If you want to do it together and support one another let me know and we can begin together but after one last shopping spree. Just putting that out there.  Also, we could swap!!

I have been exploring my neighborhood a bit lately looking for new locations for photo shoots that are private so I can relax and be myself.  At least if I think nobody is watching, I can relax.

The sun was in and out the entire shoot as I was dodging goose poop and getting stressed out because my camera remote wouldn't work and I had to run back and forth a gazillion times which is fine but I could hear the howling dogs at the county shelter not too far from me and it was killing my heart.  I wanted to cry so I am crying now just writing this.  I am just an emotional sucker when it comes to homeless/sheltered animals.  ok dawn get a grip before your pms causes you to eat another box of little debbie brownies.   Phew!  My new boots are poo filled so I took them off in the garage to clean them later.

I hope you are having a great week so far, our washing machine died this week so we had to spend part of the weekend looking for a new one which comes tomorrow.  I told Rob in the store, in front of the salesman that he would have to wear his under ware twice this week and the salesman, Joe, busted out laughing.   Anyway it comes tomorrow and I have lots of laundry to do since it has been piling up.  Looking forward to it!!!!

Girlfriend, I love that blouse, and it looks great with the other items you have it with! I am so with you on needing to purge some things. I am -- as my blog says -- filling up a closet, one perfect dress at a time! Actually, I am weeding out and moving toward owning only things that knock my socks off! If I don't love it, it's going. (Minus one or two really-strong-like pieces!)

My answer to your question is - yes! I have so much stuff that there are items I end up wearing very little. I need a bit of a cull too.
You look gorgeous, I do like those boots. Even if they are a little goose-pooped up, ha! The location looks good, but not if the sound of the dogs makes you cry. Hopefully many of them will find loving homes. My cats are adopted from shelters, and going to choose them made me cry too, and want to take them all home.
Good luck with all that washing...
Btw, I have linked to your blog in my post, because I am wearing a pussy bow blouse, and I know how it makes you chuckle! Xxxxx

OH and P.S. if you end up getting rid of clothes you should post them for us to see! Or at least for me to see :)

I feel ya, girl! I actually go thru my closet about once a month and purge unworn items. It's very painful to get rid of a few things, though, that I looove but never get to wear because I'm CONSTANTLY SHOPPING!! Ugh...

Anywayyyy, onto your ADORABLE outfit! Loove that top - seriously soooo classy & chic! And those leggings are a total gem! I can't get over how fun that print is!

Oh boy Dawn! Love love love your awesome pants. I'm going to rip them right out of the computer! You look like you're having a splendid afternoon in the fields.

The wiener dog art is on men's shirts right now in my shop but I can do them in women's too. I have crew necks and scoop neck tees.

Thanks so much for your sweet comment today!

Oh Dawn, how fabulous you look! I love the ruffled blouse. But, every time I see one, I think of the Jerry Seinfeld episode with the pirate ruffled shirt. It makes me smile.
Yes, I do indeed have too many clothes. To the point where I am getting overwhelmed!

I totally feel you on needing to purge your closet! My weight's been fluctuating a bit since we got married last year so some things that looked great last year don't look so hot now, unfortunately. But I dont want to get rid of them in case I get my act together and start working out again! Sigh. I am absolutely in love with your tights with this shirt. Absolutely perfect for Fall! Love the secluded photo location too. Definitely makes it easier to relax :)

LOL at the goose poop, little debbie brownies and underwear! hahahaha SO glad the washer machine is coming soon :)it makes me sad to see animals confined in a shelter. you can see the sadness in their faces. i wish good homes would come to them all.

That ruffled blouse is oh so pretty, am happy you uncovered it from your closet and those patterned tights are so funky! I hear ya when it comes to shopping ban but I never have success if I tell myself I can;t do it! Neglected/ homeless/ abused animals breaks my heart too, I could never go into a shelter because I'd take them all home with me. Today I was thinking about testing on animals and getting very weepy! Mmmm Lil Debbie Brownies- those were my university treat!

we need to have a swap. i have so many clothes...i need to get rid of a few things. just last night i bought a new cream oversized sweater, and i had to tell myself that in order to buy it, i would have to get rid of one of my OTHER cream oversized sweaters. pathetic, i know. anyways, you look so great in these leggings and boots. i now want to get them for myself!

hooray for wearing your poet blouse! i realized that the reason i haven't worn many of my items is i've been waiting for colder temperatures. your rob has good taste in boots. sorry they got yucky. so sad about the dogs howling in the shelter. :( happy laundry time.
