INSPIRATION MONDAY....haunted hurricane

Ashley Madekwe the inspiration...

Hi everyone!  Today is Inspiration Monday at TwoBirds.  I shot these yesterday a couple of hours before the rain began.  I  have to tell ya, I am a bit nervous about the high winds and heavy rain that we are experiencing right now.  I prayed about it and have to just know that God is in control.  This storm is on its way.   I am not sure about work tonight as Hurricane Sandy is supposed to get worse as she moves closer inland.  Rob went to work early this morning and told me that I am not going to work tonight...my man taking the reins.  Oh yeah!

I hope you had a fun, spooky weekend.  I saw a lot of your costumes on Instagram and love them.  So much creativity and a lot of work.  I have a little costume/shoot planned but not sure with the weather if I can get to it.  I will try.  Rob and I had such a great weekend.  We visited one of the scariest haunted houses in Pennsylvania.  I screamed the entire time.  At one point I was scared frozen so I just stood there and screamed.  ok?  Poor Rob, I was clinging to him like a monkey's baby and screaming.  His ears were probably ringing when we finally exited the building.  The place was a big old mill that was truly haunted as told by the owner before we went in.  He told us that he and his employees have had many experiences where the hair stood up on the back of their necks.  I believed him!

Yep, I gathered this wood from the yard for our next campfire in the yard.  I love living in the woods but not during a hurricane...too many trees to cause damage.  Stay safe if you are in the path of Sandy, sending prayers your way.  dawn xo

You look precious, love that skirt!! I hope you keep safe at this time and it all gets better soon. Mother Nature is not to be messed with it seems. I love haunted houses, even though I get mega scared and scream most of the time or fall over laughing, haha! Once I broke my glasses in one but it was because I got scared and ducked my head down and my friend who was shorter than me, was right in front of me and my face hit her shoulder and they broke, we laughed so hard we cried :)) Be safe petal, all my love and thoughts for everyone there! xoxo

Such a cute little outfit, Dawn. I am laughing at the idea of you standing still and screaming in poor Rob's ear! You would make a good horror film heroine!
Stay safe in the hurricane, my dear, I will be thinking of you. xxxxx

Dawn, I love your tiered skirt girl! This is a very cute outfit! I don't blame your hubby suggesting you don't go to work. I think I am the Hurricane queen! HAHAHA As you know, I live in New Orleans, and we're always evacuating for one. Be as prepared as you can. I don't think you live around a great body of water, so that is good. Wind damage may be an issue. Just stay away from windows and watch nearby trees. Doggies may need a little extra love too. They get anxious! Keep in touch as much as possible. I saw your Instagram pics of that haunted place and it gave me the SPOOKS too. Take care hun and I'm praying for you!

Stay safe Dawn! I hope you don't have to go to work tonight. The rest of the world's offices were closed this morning and I had to go in, but they sent us home at 1pm and are closing tomorrow as well. Yay!

I was thinking of you when I heard the news, I hope you and Rob and all your loved ones are safe and that the Hurricane blows over without too much damage. I do love your outfit, I have a similar black flirty skirt. Your shed is too cute and yikes I can't even do the Haunted Houses for kids, I'm a wimp! I hope you're doing a spooky vignette this year!
