TWIRL FACTOR...

I dyed my hair brown last night right before I went out to meet my friend Jill, for drinks.   It took about an hour since I had already purchased the dye.  My red gets really brassy after a few weeks so I decided to put some golden brown on it.  I like it.  I know this may come as a shock to all of you but my hair is naturally light brown...lol.    The last time I saw my full, natural color was when I was 18.  I did a hair show for Loreal and they put a red gloss on my head and I was hooked.  Over the years of blogging I have had countless compliments on my hair.  I appreciate every single one of them, believe me.  THANK YOU! I AM BLESSED!

I did several twirls today in this dress, it is the most comfortable dress that I recently purchased at Goodwill.  I posted it yesterday on Thursday's Thrift.  For less than 6 bucks, I am really happy with the fit, comfort and twirl factor.

I am off from work this weekend which makes me really happy since I got into a huge shouting match with my sister yesterday.  I am so upset over this.  We have never had a disagreement, we are close.  I am trying to sort things out in my mind before I approach the situation.  Has this ever happened to anybody?  I need to know.   I have prayed about it and need to let things cool down and wait on God.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend, do you have fun plans?  I have lots of options this weekend  as far as fun things to do.  I was supposed to have my giveaway today but I am going to prepare the post this weekend and post it Monday or Tuesday.  Enjoy, darling readers.   dawn xo

1. I've always been envious of your gorgeous hair. Today is no different.
2. That dress is awesome. Keep twirling!
3. I'm so sorry about you and your sister. I once got into a very heated argument with my favorite cousin over gun control and it was so ridiculous because neither of us owns or wants guns- it just got crazy. And personal. So I feel for you. Hang in there.

Your hair looks amazing - I am hating my hair at the moment :( And that dress is just so pretty - I love the pattern on it. Sorry things got tough with your sister - I think time apart often allows the heat to settle in an argument so thats probably good. Hope you find a way to mend things with her - it sounds like it is worth saving if you are that close , it just may take time and compromise . Good luck! Xx

Love the dress! Love the hair!

No great advice for you about your fight with your sister, other than to make it up somehow! I got into a row with my eldest sister once, which started off about one thing, but was REALLY about something else, for her anyway. It got resolved by me having a baby, which is a bit drastic, ha! But she kind of had to get in touch when I had my daughter, so that got us over the difficulty, though neither of us have ever referred to it again.
Is whatever you fought about worth losing your sister over? If not, then you'll find a way back. Good luck! xxxxx

Hello. I have been away most of the summer and now back for a week and one of the first things that i am doing on line is opening up your site. I miss seeing what you have posted, your fashions, your stories, viewing your home as it is being upgraded, and your smile in your work.I have viewed everything that i have been missing and the outfits look really good as usual. You and your sister will be just fine, you are family plus no one agrees all the time.God made us all different. Plus when you guys make up you will just laugh at the silly parts of the disagreement. Hope you have a blessed weekend. And enjoy your new(original)hair color. Hope the little guys are fine(pets)

O Dawn, I'm sorry you're going through this difficult patch. I do know how you feel. I think sometimes these disagreements reflect deep-seated, perhaps unconscious unhappinesses people have with each other, and the best thing would be to calmly talk things over AFTER you have prayed about it. Remember, "love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]".
Meditate on these words, and remember to believe the best, and forgive, forgive, forgive. In the grand scheme, these things we disagree over really don't matter, and of course, this too shall pass. You look beautiful as always, hugs.

I absolutely love this dress with the brown belt! You have a real eye to spot a gem. Once again, I would never have realized it's amazing potential on the hanger at Goodwill. It's one of my very favorite pieces of yours.
Your hair looks very pretty. I've recently made a decision to start coloring my own again (I may regret it.)after visiting the salon for highlights for about 3 years now. It encourages me to try again when I see others doing such a beautiful job of it themselves. With tip it was costing me $175 for highlights alone every visit. Outrageous.

wow beautiful!! that dress is stunning on you and you are looking so slim! and brown hair? totally suits you, both red and brunette look lovely on you. And as for your sister, you will sort it out, me and my sister are extremley close and argued badly about 7 years ago, it was soon forgotten. Its all part of being sisters, forgiveness comes easily. I hope you guys sort it out xx

1. your hair looks gorgeous. i loved it red, but i am loving the shiny brown, too.
2. that dress looks even better on than it did on the hanger.
3. sisters fight...it's a fact. i don't fight with my sisters often (i have 4), but when i do, it really sucks. i feel for you. i think it's smart to cool down before talking again. but you are sisters, and that wins out over any argument. i hope you both can work it out!
