RUFFLED VINTAGE SKIRT...

Hi darling readers, I am so relieved that the weather here is about 20 degrees cooler than earlier in the week which makes me very happy.  This outfit is my "going to meet my sister Stephanie for breakfast" outfit.  We have been trying to make more of an effort to meet at the local Star View Diner to catch up on things.  We are 18 months apart and people used to think we were twins.  When they would ask, we would tell them that we were twins.  Wink!! Now, we don't look as much alike but I think you can tell we are sisters.  She is my big sister who always stood up for me when we were younger.  Now I just stand up for myself...and how.  I am not one to let people walk all over me.  I will let you know with a quickness if  something you do doesn't sit right with me and I will stand up for the little guy too.  If there is an injustice somewhere and I can help or give my two cents, I won't hold back.

I hope that doesn't make me sound like a bully.  I try to do the right thing most of the time.  Morally and ethically, you can trust me.  I am a good friend who will keep your secrets too. I hold a lot of secrets for my closest girls,  I feel good knowing that they can tell me things without feeling like they are being judged or persecuted.   We never know what type situations we might find ourselves in someday so try not to judge and come from a place of understanding.  Now, about my outfit, I got this vintage, pastel shirt from the church thrift store for $2.00 and this skirt is from goodwill for $3.99.  I love this comfortable outfit today and the ruffle on the bottom of this skirt makes me happy.  What is making you happy today?  Have a great weekend and happy Friday!!!  dawn xoxo

You look great! I can keep a secret, too, but it can be hard, especially when I want to tell my HH! Have fun with your sister!

I think that's a wonderful trait to have- I am very passive and can be a doormat for bullies, I wish I could be more assertive at times! My sis is Stephanie too and people used to think we were twins (I'm 4 years older but we look the same age). I just love this flouncy skirt, you are such a vintage babe!

You know when you've never met someone in person, but you just get a sense that they're a good one? That's how you come across in your blog. I think it's important to not let people walk all over you and to stick up for those who can't do it for themselves. Good on you! (and if you look cute while you're doing it sometimes the message doesn't seem so aggressive, haha).

Can you post a picture of you and your sister? I want to see this resemblance!
