INSPIRATION MONDAY....vintage mix

Today's Inspiration Outfit Photo posted by www.twobirds.blogspot.com

I love a good mix of  something vintage with something newer.  This bold printed dress by Roxy was basically free when I opened a Tjx charge account.  They sent me a $10.00 coupon in the mail and I found this dress for just that amount.  I was determined to get it for free.  It is so easy to shop there with only $10.00 bucks and then buy something for $39.99.  I was not coming out of there with more than a $10.00 purchase.  Bonus:  this dress is lightweight, lined, has double pockets and is super comfy.  Win, Win!!  My yellow, vintage, beaded jacket was thrifted years ago.  It will always be a part of my wardrobe.  I have worn this little cropped jacket many times.

Today is Inspiration Monday...I swear if it were not for sisters Megan and Nora of TwoBirds I would not have come up with nearly as many outfits and wardrobe mixes as I have over the  last year of joining them on Inspiration Monday.  I have met so many fabulous bloggers by joining them.  You can't lose.  Wanna join?  It is so easy and fun...click here

Vintage Rynex cat eye sunglasses $5.00 church thrift store...aren't they crazy?

I went out early today before the heat tried to kill me.  You all know how much I love the Summer...bleck!  Anyway, hope you had a great weekend, I worked both days.  My husband was home taking care of the pets and prepping our walls to be painted in the dining room and breakfast nook.  It never ends...our house will always be a work in progress.  I hired my dear friend, Sharon who is an interior decorater.  She is affordable and knows exactly what I love.  She is working with me to get my house in order again after all of the many projects over the last year that required me to pack up most of the house.  I began feeling overwhelmed with how to begin putting it all back together so Sharon came by last week and spent a little over an hour me.  We are going to use most of my things with a few adjustments here and there...ok, a lot of adjustments but using mostly everything I already own...mostly.   I just want to have a clutter free home with all of my favorite things around me...if that is possible!!  Have a great day darlings.  dawn xo

The heat kills me as well. I turn into a baby. Love this dress and how you remixed it. I just got a target card and its instant savings when you use it. This may be bad!

Dawn you look great as always! I seriously love your hair, and that dress for 10 bucks what a steal! I know what you mean with house projects.. I bought my first house 2 years ago and its slowly starting to feel more like my own but there is still a list a mile long! Hope all is well, I spent the weekend in northern maine with my husband which was nice.. now back to the real world!

Great dress and I am having major hair envy right now. Good luck with your home, I think most homes are works in progress because people and their needs change... I just rearranged a bunch of cabinets and drawers and feel much better! Have a great day!
