THURSDAY'S THRIFT FINDS..."do your own thing"

I found this groovy, luv, music box, van from 1988 at the thrift store yesterday when I went with my friend Jenni and her super cool mom Marcelle.  I had a great time with them!  We started out at Jenni's house where we had a tasty lunch to fuel up for some retail therapy.

It works perfectly while playing "Hey Jude".  I make up my own words to the song which go something like this....Hey Jude, I saw ya nude--don't try and fake it--I saw you naked....remember to let  her lalala.  When will I ever grow up?  Probably, next week when I am lying there with stitches  and pain meds or NEVER.

Where were you in 1969?  Woodstock perhaps?  I was a toddler.

She was .95 cents....bargain!

And this is where she will live, among the pink McCoy pottery collection and other various thrifted favorites that are dust collectors.

I also found this groovy serving dish with a detachable bowl.  Just unscrew the bowl and use it separately if you so desire.  I also thrifted this bracelet and earrings for Spring.  All 3 items totalled $4.49

I am linking this to Brass In  Pocket over at Dawn's blog, that used to be known as Spunky Chateau.  Join the fun and show off your thrifty loot.  Dawn xo

What a cool music box - Enesco is a good quality brand (I used to work in a Christmas store, and we sold a lot of Enesco music boxes).

I love that you have the cassette tapes of two of my all-time favourite movies! "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is my all-time number one. :)

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my blog - and for following! Thank you!

Cheers,
Sheila

I love your little van. I was graduating from high school in 1969and was a 7th grader when the Beatles first came out. My second car was a '64 red Beetle and I have a little model with doors that really work.
