PINK DICKIE...finding the good

Hi darlings, ya know how ya try to look at the good in everything even though things seem to be absolutely hectic?  Well that is what I have decided to do ever since my surgery which was 10 days ago.   I failed to tell you that my husband scheduled the painter to be here on the day of the surgery(luckily he is a friend who helped us with the dogs while we were at the hospital).  The entire week of my recovery I hid from him in my bedroom as I looked and felt atrocious.  Every time he(rick) did happen to see me pass from the kitchen back to the bedroom,  he shook his head and said "that's a shame".  He felt bad for me all huddled over riddled with PAIN, AND I MEAN PAIN.   That was last week.   Prior to all of this, my husband and I removed our hallway wallpaper which leads to a guest bedroom and bathroom which is why we had the painter brighten it up because it was such a dimly lit space that had 3 brown doors in it.  One door leading to the basement, another to the the guest bedroom and last one to the adjoining bathroom.  Fine right?  This week of recovery, and believe me, I am still being grateful and thanking God the whole time, my lovely husband scheduled a kitchen remodel.  This is my kitchen pictured above.  I have 3 workmen, who I now consider friends, here for 8 hours a day while I am living in my bedroom with 5 pets and doing my dishes in the bathroom sink and ordering dinner out every night.  Fun right? Meanwhile, I had to let them know that I was recovering from surgery and would help out as foreman (haha) as much as I could.  My entire house with the exception of the bedroom I am living in is covered in thick drywall dust and I don't care right now.  I am still blessed in more ways than I could ever imagine and after having read all of your amazing comments and tearing up at times, I'm even more fortunate to know a lot of exceptional people.  I know this is long but looking past the dust, clutter, pain, anxiety, feeling out of the loop,  booby scars that will eventually fade, isolation at times, I still see light and can find beauty in things surrounding me.  We have to look for the good, the light, the whole picture and see beyond what is right in front of us that  may seem  insurmountable.  My husband Rob, is still the bomb diggity...don't get me wrong.  Just a lot going on right now.

Dawn, I am so sorry you had so much pain. I was lucky on my surgery I recouped really quickly on the reduction. Not so much on the mastectomy! That one was a horrible one. I wore sports bras for a long time after my reduction. It just felt so much more comfy than regular ones. I hope this finds you in much less pain!

I try to do the same thing and then I start cussing. HAHAHAHAHAHA Girl you hang in there. The doctor I went to said it would take 3 weeks or so. DON'T PUSH yourself by taking an outfit post. HEAL first! Yes, now I'm Dr. Kimmy. HAHAHA Love that pretty collar on that top. Makes me want to frame it too. AND that purse on the door handle. Get rest. Heal. Keep in touch. This was hilarious.

Thank you for popping by to say you are well, I was happy to hear from you :) Living in a house in the middle of a reno is trying at the best of times, but when you're recovering and dealing with a menagerie of pets...wow. You see the good and the humorous in everything and I admire your attitude throughout the process. I always thought you dressed really well for your big ta-tas, certainly until I saw the bathing suit shot I didn't realize they were a G!! Goodness. I hope the pain soon subsides, enjoy your pain meds + bursts of creativity, and look forward to seeing you in your new dress!
