crazy cat couture

Hi everyone- it's Emily from Tinfoil Tiaras! I'm your guest blogger today while Dawn is recovering from her surgery (Hi Dawn- we miss you!) I will admit to being a little nervous to follow in the footsteps of Megan & Nora's breast post- those two sure know how to make me laugh!

Although I'm no Dawn, I too used to have a hefty chest thanks to the crazy hormones of birth control pills.  Once I stopped taking them my boobs deflated from a D back to a B which was quite a disappointment when you're used to wearing shirts that say "hey boys, my eyes are up here!" One day I will treat myself to a breast augmentation à la Real Housewives of Orange County (hey Dawn, maybe you can give me some of your extra chest since you won't need it anymore!)

But we're not here to talk about breasts today (aww), how about some crazy cat lady chatter instead? Dawn and I are both cat lovers but I didn't realize how obsessed with the furry creatures we were until I did a little background research.  When I searched how many blog posts I've written with the word 'cat' in them I got 22.  When I searched on Dawn's blog it came up with 156.  156 blog posts mentioning cats! On a scale of 0-10 cat craziness, Dawn is up there with this lady! Plus we both like to dress out cats up in quirky costumes and take their photos which is pretty bizarre in and of itself! (see exhibit a below)

Dawn's Kitty Kitty
My Marley
Cats, you either love em or you hate them so why not take that love to the next level and treat them like one of your own! (Dawn, back-me up on this one, you refer to yourself as a 'Kitty Mom' too right?) My cats Marley & Mama Sita get regular brushings, daily play time (including walks on a leash- yes I am that neighbour!), are on a expensive diet of duck and pumpkin and they treat my head as their personal chaise longue.  Plus they receive the VIP blog treatment and are often allowed to be photographed in my daily outfit photos (see exhibit b below).

All this cat chatter to say- I truly believe that Dawn and I are on to something that I like to call crazy cat couture.  Forget handbags, sunglasses, bracelets or scarves- cats are the next big fashion accessory so grab your feline friend, hold her delicately in your arms or throw him over your shoulder and get ready to walk the streets in style (warning: this trend may elicit hushed whispers and strange stares but that's just because they haven't thought of it yet!) So try out the crazy cat couture today, 100% all eyes on you guaranteed!

Emily when I first popped on to see your fabulous post, I thought that you had snagged a photo of my Redzo. We have twin cats. I can't believe how much they look alike. Wow, I guess I am cat obsessed, I had no idea that I mentioned them so many times. I love love your collage. I am thrilled to see this cat post on here. Between your post and the birds posts, it helps ease my pain along with some really strong meds. I saw my boobies last night for the first time as my doctor called and told me to take off the surgical bra and get in the shower. I am very happy with them so far but I have a long way to go before they look normal(not so bruised). THAT WAS A BIG OUCH...BELIEVE ME, BUT AT LEAST I AM CLEAN...thank you so much for this crazy cat couture post. Love you girls and all of the well wishes from everyone. Back to bed...dawn xoxoxo Miss you all.

Dawn, glad the surgery went well! Or at least I'm assuming it did since I see you 'round the 'net. I can only imagine how painful the girls must be right now. :| Here's to a speedy recovery!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a crazy cat lady. I would be one myself, but I'm allergic. C'est la vie.

Precious. But, I am far from a cat lover as they come. I would freak if they were in my house. I hope you are feeling better Dawn, miss you lots..have been thinking of you!! XOXOXOXOXOX

I love that you walk your cats on leashes. We have FIVE cats and I've never been able to get one of them to walk on a leash. I've tried :) They're pretty good at knocking over anything that's sitting on a table though. In fact, if everything on a table ISN'T knocked over, they don't feel like their day is complete.

Hahaha, dressing up cats is the best. They get so angry, it's hilarious. My sisters dressed all our animals up, except our chickens. They just got their nails painted.
