THURSDAY'S THRIFT...and an eye candy link up

Hello darlings and newer followers, so nice of you to drop in and visit me.  I am happy that you have.  My husband has off from work this week so we are doing tons of stuff around the house.  The bedroom is finished being painted so now we just need a new headboard and carpet.  I love the color and will show you before and after photos as soon as it is finished. We are going to start our kitchen next, believe me when I tell you, we need new cabinets and counter tops, minimally.  They are sad and embarrassing.   We are going to do this as economically as possible.  Anyway, thank you all so much for the most awesome comments about my bow tie.  I was tickled by your kindness. Here are my thrifted finds from the past two visits...maybe three visits.    I am linking this post to Fortyish and Fluffy.  Shayla has welcomed blogger friends and followers to post something that you consider eye candy or something that has inspired you during your week.  You can use a previous post so go here, grab her button and show us your eye candy!!!

How cute are these vintage hair clips and the rhinestone comb???  .25cents each from the church thrift where I am greeted with a kiss and hug from the lovely, sassy Theresa.

I have been inspired by bloggers wearing yellow lately like  Kat, here...just my luck to find this Merona skirt for $3.99 at Goodwill

This hat....I may just keep it planted on her head...$3.00 church thrift store

Vintage bow ties .99cents each.  I bought the blue one a long time ago but thought it looked cute in the photo...here is how I styled it before...don't laugh!

This flowy, sheer maxi skirt is so dreamy and one of my most favorite finds...$3.99 Goodwill

Rosanna vintage sweater $3.99 Goodwill

I know that this is a seasonal find but for 2 bucks(get it,buck?) I could not resist.  Inside this box is the most perfect deer full of Avon after shave..

Isn't he handsome and he smells good too...

This H&M dress was $3.00 at Goodwill, I added a little scarf to punch it up a bit...

I could not resist this Adolfo vest for $2.99.  I would like to style it before winter is over...
Just in case you are new here, today is Thursday's Thrift.  I like to showcase a few of my favorite finds from Goodwill and the little church near my home.  I am trying to adhere to my plan by buying things that I love and would wear right out of the store or if it smelled good enough to wear tomorrow without washing it, don't judge.  I wash everything before I donate it.  I am sorry if I have not dropped by, believe me I am thinking about you and will be there soon to see what is going on in your world.  Stay inspired....hello Friday!!!  Do you thrift?  What have you bought lately that you had to have?  Dawn xo

LOVE the maxi skirt and the aftershave buck.... overall, what great finds! very lucky.

i am not a hat person, in terms of wearing them on my own head, but i think they are so beautiful. i have thought about getting some vintage pieces and just using them as decoration for the house.

You find such amazing things! I have started wearing hair accessories but haven't found any thrifting. I thought I found some, but they were just very cheap party type things.

And, by the way, your blog with the word verification was just the first of many that I ran into before my post on my frustration. Why does Blogger have to make things worse rather than better?

Awww, thanks for the shout-out! I'm happy my yellow is inspiring you and look forward to seeing your take on your (gorgeous) thrifted skirt. You're making me want to scour my local thrift store for inexpensive bow ties. If not the men's, there must be some in the boys' section...
