NAUTICALLY INSPIRED...and a link up

Hello darling readers, if you have dropped in intentionally or by chance, welcome and thank you for the visit.  Today I am linking this nautically inspired outfit to the beautiful Anna at IHOD.  She has a modesty link up that I have been wanting to take part in.  This outfit is inspired by my post from last week called "Inspiring Me Lately".

I love the contrast of the stripe against the mocha colored skirt that has been hanging in my closet for ages.  It is a bit too big but I wore it anyway. I am  hoping to shrink it in the wash and keep wearing it because this color is tough to find.  Anyway, I have been watching too many episodes of "Jerseylicious" lately.  Between the south jersey accents, big hair, extreme make-up, nails that are freakishly too long, and hair salon drama, I just can't get enough....my life seems boring in comparison but I will take boring over drama anytime.  It's Thursday and I am looking forward to yoga tonight....have a great day and stay inspired!  Dawn xo  Thanks for hosting, Anna!!

The nautical look has always been a fave of mine. I not sure if its the color combo or the stripes. Missy, I love this look here! You look fab!

I love this look! The pin is adorable. I think Kate Middleton is leading the charge in bringing back modesty - and I love it! There's a time and place for revealing outfits but I like the way we're heading.

You don't look like a happy Dawn today! Your outfit is wonderful.
I think I'm styling when I where a striped T with jeans. Look at you all striped and skirted up!
Ship Ahoy Maty! (however you spell that)

Girl, I was at that lil antique shop on Atlantic last weekend and saw (I think!) that exact same pin! I had it in my hands - but it had a little gold anchor charm on it - did yours use to have one on it? I almost bought it but didn't know what I would wear it with... We have great taste! You look really cute in yellow by the way!
