HOLIDAY INN MY CLOSET...Scottie Dress

Hi Marcelle, I hope you are reading this because I am dedicating this post to you darling for allowing me to come up with a name for your precious Scottie many years ago.  I Hope Ollie (the Scottie) is doing well and  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday!!  If you didn't celebrate, maybe you at least got a chance to relax and enjoy the day off.  As part of my new feature on this blog throughout the holiday season, I am shopping my own closet for "Holiday Inn My Closet". These outfits will keep me out of the malls and have kept me out of the thrift store.  UH, MIRACLE ON FIRST STREET PEEPS, I have not thrifted in almost 2 weeks.  I am having more fun thrifting in my closet.  Everything I am wearing is thrifted including the vintage Fleetwood suitcase.  So join me in some holiday cheer and entertain the idea of creating an outfit suited for a holiday celebration. Last night I received my first holiday party invite....can't wait to impress for less.  Have a great weekend!!!

H&M Scottie dog dress thrifted $5.99
Vintage pleated Seventy Seven  Originals coat by SMR $7.99 Goodwill
Kickeroos vintage boots less than $5.00 Goodwill
Fleetwood vintage suitcase less than $5.00 Goodwill
Large Pearl necklace with black bow thrifted Goodwill

what a lovely idea to shop in your own closet! You didn't thrift for 2 weeks? Congrats! I need more discipline. Can I come shopping in your closet too? With such lovely clothes in your wardrobe you can shop forever in your wardrobe. HA..the scotties dress is so cute... I love it..and everything else in this outfit...even the suitcase and the truck. Have a wonderful thanksgiving weekend!

dawn you are delightful! i like the thrifting from your own closet concept. when someone asked how to avoid being fashion blocked i suggested cleaning/organizing closet & drawers. for not only is it inventory, it helps one discover forgotten things or pairing them in a new way. :)
