DIY....HAUNTED HOUSE

Buy unpainted or painted craft house shaped shadow box.  I found mine and several others at Goodwill for .99cents.  You can get them at any craft store for a few bucks.

Paint it a neutral color or just go for a dark mustard yellow with black accents.

I used Martha Stewart's glitter glue in black since I did not have black craft paint.  I just kept layering it on until I got the effect I was going for.  I begain layering the walls of my different rooms using whatever I had at home since I was in my pj's all day for this project.  I used some old yellowing pages of books and stained some pages of books for text with my brown in stamp  and a cotton ball.

I began adding themes to the different rooms of the house.  The attic had an old neglected doll, bats, an old birdcage.

I used whatever gadgets I had in my stash of goodies.  Old buttons, keys, watch faces, text from books, and stick on numbers and letters.

Old pins, a doll head, an old light bulb that I hot glued to a small candle stick,,,

Bats, moss, more letters.

Foam ghost, more moss, and bats.

Skeleton key, a skull that I added hair to from the doll head....get creative.

Mona Lisa pin.  I removed it from  broach and glued her to the inside and the pin frame to the outside of the box

Glitter glue an old plastic pumkin and find some stick on for effect and color.
