THURSDAY'S THRIFT....trinkets n things....

Hi darlings and welcome to Thursday's Thrift where I like to showcase my recent thrifty finds and encourage everyone reading this to thrift and thrift often.  This is the secret to finding the good stuff, go as often as you can.  Get to know the employees and other shoppers by name.  I have been so fortunate in my thrifting journeys to meet such great people as, {Mr. GW} and Miss CS.  I am sure they would like to remain anonymous.  Well anyway, Mr. GW himself found this beautiful bisque doll for me and made sure she went into my shopping cart and not some other patrons cart.  I especially loved her price which was under $2.00.  She is in good hands Mr. GW.  Thank you, xo!!!

We all love Urban Outfitters right?  Right!  How about this lace, sleeveless, creme blouse with tags for $4.00.  As you can see the original price was $48.00...what???

I love the fit as I can wear it open or closed and layer it too.  I like how it fits across the bust without pulling open if you know what I mean...!!!

The large black bow has a barrette attached to the back labeled made in France.  I may use this for a dress instead.  My cost was $1.00.  Not sure how old it is but it appears to be vintage.  The painted wooden shoes were a must have at $2.99.  Made in Holland, I just may wear these...just kidding they are not my size!!!  I have another pair that I put outside my front door as a decoration but they ended up in one of my small gardens.  I like the idea of adding small plants to them in the Spring.  For now they are propped up on some books in my living room.  Thanks for dropping in to visit me.  I would love to hear about your thrifty finds too.  Lots of love, Dawn xo

Great finds. Love the wooden shoes, so colorful. We don't have a lot of the good stores like UO here, so finding a blouse like that would be very rare here. I do know that it does take time to thrift. I am starting to spend more time in a nearby thrift.

Fabulous finds, Dawn! I can't believe that beautiful shirt was only $4!!! Love it! And those pained wooden shoes are so lovely.

I love that lacy blouse! Those kinds of finds are SO FUN! And I agree, you should wear the black bow on a dress or a skirt. Although, in the hair is could be cute as long as you don't fall into the '80s with it. :) (I secretly love the 80s... don't tell my friends. LOL.) I am starting to thrift more and learned a VERY VALUABLE lesson over the weekend. There were 2 items I found and passed up to "think about". Then I lost them to another woman and I regret not just grabbing it when I saw it. One was the most awesome fuschia colored velvet vintage coat. Ugh... oh well.. I am NOT going to let that happen again! Thanks for sharing with us!

That's some successful shopping. The shoes would be adorable with plants growing out of them (I'm seeing delicate flowers or herbs?) Hopefully the bow has a pin - you could accessorize anything. And finally that blouse is such a steal! In my pre-thrifting days I got a similar sleeveless cream lace top and I thought it was a deal at $100 reduced to $50. Ah well. I still wear it!
