BEACH TERRARIUMS....DO IT YOURSELF FUN...

I found a couple of beach terrariums while cruising the web recently and can't remember where I saw them so I decided to make 2 of my own  from memory using items I had around  the house and some of my own creavtivity.

I tried to match the scale of the items so that the little theme seems more authentic.  Not sure if I accomplished this but I wanted to save money by sticking to what I already own.  Beach bonfire anyone???

When my husband and I traveled to Hawaii in May we saw a huge barnacle covered, white, anchor leaning up against a tree on the beach which inspired me to include the anchor in this little beach bonfire scene.

I found the green Coca Cola bottle in my miniature collection

I picked up the small reclining beach chair at the Christmas Tree shop for less than 2 dollars.

The glass dome was purchased at Goodwill for less than $10.00 and the driftwood was found at various beaches in NJ.
I currently have them both in my dining room until Fall arrives.

I made the fence from tall ornamental grass stalks and a hot glue gun.  I tried to glue the crack in the wooden base but the glue is so obvious to me.

I brought the small bit of coral  back from one of the beaches in Hawaii.

Here I removed the piece of driftwood....not sure which I like better...

I found this beach chair at the Christmas Tree shop for less than a dollar....

I am not great with a hot glue gun as I am noticing the dried glue is visible...ooops!!!  Also, I will be linking up with Two Birds today for Inspiration Monday so check me later darlings.  Have a great Monday...it's sopping wet here in Southern N.J.
