THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE....

I THOUGHT MY CAT  HAD 4 KITTENS...I FOUND 2 MORE WRAPPED IN A SWEATER IN THE CRATE YESTERDAY...HOW DID I MISS THIS?  5 OF THE 6 ARE OK BUT UNFORTUNATELY ONE DID NOT MAKE IT. THE ONE THAT DID NOT MAKE IT WAS NOT WRAPPED IN THE SWEATER, THANK GOD.  THE RESCUE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS JUST MOTHER NATURE TAKING ITS COURSE...VERY TOUGH DAY YESTERDAY...THIS IS A LOT HARDER THAN EXPECTED.  IF MAMA WAS NOT FERAL I KNOW THIS WOULD BE EASIER BUT SHE IS BEING PROTECTIVE AND I UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY WHEN SHE LUNGES AND SPITS AT ME.  IT HAS BEEN QUITE AN ORDEAL.  HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU...ARE ANY OF MY DARLING FOLLOWERS ANIMAL LOVERS?  WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU! LOTS OF LOVE, DAWN XO

It happens. My cat Tink had kittens in my closet at my first apt. 2 didnt make it. Found them wrapped up in the towel. Just let mama cat do her thing and no one gets hurt!

Oh...my this does sound rough. I commend you for taking care of them. I love all animals but am frightened of hissing spitting feral cats. I think this says a lot about you that you brought her in to your home.

AWWWW, I'm sorry that you lost one, that is very painful, each is so beautiful and unique, Mama will come around she is just protecting her brood, remember she is a very experienced mother she has done this in the harshest conditions and her babies have survived. I love the one with all the black spots on his/her head, love ya

I'm so sorry to hear one little one didn't make it. :( But, it's true, most of the times, one of the kittens won't. Mama cat knows exactly what to do. This is her instinct taking over. She still loves you I'm sure. :)
Our cat, Cleopatra, back in Greece, was, well, an exception. Like I have written in my blog, she gave birth during the night, right next to us, on our bed, while we were sleeping. She let us touch the little ones and help her cleaning them. She was an extraordinary cat. So well behaved, so sweet.
Now we have 2 of her kittens. They bring us so much joy.
Anyway, let mama cat do her thing, show her that you are there for her, because she will need some time of her own at some point, some food, water, cuddling.
I hope all of you have a nice and peaceful weekend. :)
