FASHION AHOY!

Hello darlings..happy Monday to you!!  I was out and about today running errands and taking photos.  The Spring weather was just perfect and the sun actually felt good but just for a minute.  I try to avoid overexposure as much as possible due to my pale skin that burns within 15 minutes.  I wear sunblock everyday even if it is cloudy.  Anyway, I had fun with this shoot!!  I found this old boat from 1967 sitting in a random parking lot.  The owner was nowhere around so I snapped a few photos and continued on to check off my list of "things to do"!!  Tomorrow I am going to be with my mom all day as she is having a medical procedure...say a prayer that she gets good news...thank you!!    Here is the breakdown of my outfit...Villager vintage knit dress $5.99, Echo vintage scarf .99cent, Connie vintage shoes $3.99, Nautical suede bag $2.99 and nautical earrings .99cents all from Goodwill.  I have been finding a lot of inspiration lately by browsing my vintage McCall's magazines.  They are dated  late1960's.  They shot a nautical/military theme that deserves a salute.  Here is my interpretation of nautical/vintage ....how is this for smart sailing?  Thanks for dropping in...you are always welcome here!!!  lots of love, Dawnxo

Dawn this is just amazing!!! Love this shoot. That dress is fabulous and I just love the nautical vibe. How amazing that you found that boat! :)

Sorry I missed you this weekend. The trip was so short. We didn't get to the Ritz until around 3 and we had dinner reservations really early...6:30. Then the game was at 12:30 the next day. Too quick. I will definitely plan on spending more time my next trip down. It was an amazing time though. Love the Ritz. I had been there about 10 years ago so it was kind of romantic to go back :)

Glad you had a good weekend with your niece and I hope that we get to meet in person in the near future! xoxo
