CURBSIDE SHOPPING.....

I curbside picked this ore with its perfect patina and chippy paint from my old neighborhood. There were two of these but I only grabbed one. What was I thinking?
On another occasion, I plucked this beauty{blue cabinet...vintage} from the curb...I demanded that my husband pull over....I am serious. He gets embarrassed!! He always says...we can pick it up on the way back. He knows it won't be there on the way back....I am not the only one stalking people's curbs.
These pottery class, stacked coffee mugs I picked from my neighbor...which makes it ok to use. He was cleaning out his garage and I was observing from my window. When I finally got the nerve to ask him, he was more than happy to give them to me along with a child's vintage rocking chair...
Had to have this buoy...got this from my other neighbor who was moving and cleaning out his house. He curbside shops too. Thanks Bob!!
This perfectly rusty birdhouse was a fabulous find for me because I love rusted, weathered items....don't you?
A more recent find, this old barrel will be used in the Fall for flowers...
This large table and four chairs I snagged from my neighbor Rocky, he was willing to deliver...how nice..thanks Rocky...
This vintage jar I use to store old buttons was found along with the barrel...

Who in their right mind would dispose of this very old, mesh, metal purse....??? Glad they did...one of my favorite treasures!!! FINALLY, FIND OF THE YEAR...DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....THIS PRECIOUS GEM....WHO I FOUND PRACTICALLY CURBSIDE...I LOVE HIM ALTHOUGH HE THINKS HE IS THE BOSS OF ME!!! Thanks for stopping by, I have to shoot Sassy Saturday today although it is snowing!!! Dawn xo

I must admit, I love to curbside shop{trash pick}. I have found so many treasured items while doing so. I love found items that are free. I can still remember my first BIG pick when I was about 7 years of age. The neighborhood kids were all doing it so I joined in and found some Indian head nickels that a neighbor had thrown out. There are rules that I abide by when I spot a must have curbside....1. Safety first...pull off in a safe area away from oncoming traffic. 2. If you are caught by the person who owns the curbside find, introduce yourself and ask if whether or not they mind if you take the item...I have found this to be very rewarding and have met some really nice people. They have even gone as far as helping me put the item in my car or have put it off to the side for me until I returned with a bigger vehicle. 3. Never tear open people's bags and make a mess as curbside shopping is illegal in some areas. 4. Take the item only if you can put it to good use or can give it to someone who can. Have fun and be careful...I would love to hear about your Curbside treasures!!! Dawn

Your little timothy is so stinkin cute!

I remember my first curbside shopping experience when I was a little girl I found a bag full of stuffed animals from the church up the street. I guess they were used for the vacation bible classes in the summer but I still remember thinking I'd hit the jackpot!
