two man band called Trash Bag Poncho....they were really good!

Rob and I planned a date Saturday night since the evening weather was going to be on the cooler side. Romance fills the air on cool nights...(eyebrows raise twice)!!!! Part of the reason for the date was so that we could take a nice, long drive toward the Jersey shore while enjoying each others company without cell phones, computers, televisions, and other distractions....you get my drift. We originally planned to walk the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ but the plan changed throughout the evening to a simpler one. Rob and I headed to Corbin City, NJ along Rt. 50 to a place called The Buck Tavern seen here. We discovered The Buck on one of our many random road trips to "nowhere". These trips consist of getting into the car and driving with the hope of adventure and the discovery of new places to enjoy. We arrived around 8pm and were seated in the dining room with its vaulted ceilings, low lighting, and big stone fireplace. The dining room was practically empty with the exception of a few families having a late night bite like us. We split a generous portion of calamari as an appetizer and each ordered an entree that included crab and shrimp. After dinner we headed into the bar area and enjoyed their live entertainment, a band called Trash Bag Poncho!!! I really enjoyed their mellow, classic rock music as they took requests from the patrons. Rob and I sipped on Jeremiah Weed and lemonade as we enjoyed the rest of our evening at The Buck.....somewhere off the beaten path in the middle of nowhere.
