THE WEDDING JITTERS......
The wedding that Rob and I attended on Saturday was full of fun and romance!!!! I was honored but a little (to say the least) nervous when asked by Julie, the bride, to do her makeup for the biggest day of her life...sweating bullets!!! The weeks prior to the wedding Julie and I got together for a few practice runs so that I could learn how to apply her makeup (she has a lot of faith in me)....thank God she had the confidence in me that I needed to have for myself. Saturday was the big day and I was feeling the pressure as I made my way up to Peddlers Village near New Hope, Pa. I arrived early and waited anxiously for the bride to finish getting her hair styled. (I felt like I was getting married and by the way did I mention that I was NERVOUS?) Finally Julie was ready for her makeup and I had about 20 minutes to finish the job. NO PRESSURE as I was sweating and shaking. I kicked it into high gear and worked as quickly and as carefully as I could ...meanwhile everyone else in the world was helping her get ready too. WE HAD ABOUT A HALF HOUR BEFORE THE CEREMONY....I NEEDED A NERVE PILL or maybe a drink!! Someone announced that the ceremony was in 10 minutes and I nearly fainted....OMG...I needed to do her lip liner and lipstick and she had to get dressed!!! I kept working fast and furious to get the job done and get myself to the ceremony as well...as I put the finishing touches on her face with a squirt of product that set her makeup I breathed a sigh of relief and I must admit, she did look beautiful.....the groom gave me his approval later as he stated that I did a good job....where is that Drink?
