TEAM HALLOWEEN...

hi everyone, sorry to keep throwing Halloween in your face with my past costumes but this year with all of the decorating for our Halloween bash, I won't have time to be really creative with my costume.  Whenever we have our party, I just throw on something scary from one of our 16 bins of stuff.  The past couple years we did not have our party because my husband was in school and with the party being such a huge undertaking, we could not pull it off.   Anyway, here is Rob as a Kmart worker with an authentic Kmart vest and name tag reading, Rupert.  (ebay 10.00 bucks) We added the mullet wig, thrifted clothing and my RayBan wayfarers with the clear lens.  He wore his ear bud  all night like he was a geek on alert for a blue light special.  He is a real sport and always game when it comes to Halloween.

Here we are in another 30 years as elderly people.  This one was a real hit at the party we attended.  My friend Jenni still talks about this one.  It was her annual party that she has for her son Peyton's birthday.  Rob and I stopped at the liquor store on the way to the party.    I stayed in character the entire time making sure I used my cane.  I had to tell the clerk that we were in costume and he looked shocked saying that he thought we were from the old country...funny

I drew really fine lines with an eye liner pencil to resemble wrinkles and a furrow between the brows....

I love how my husband is standing in this  photo,  leaning on his cane...

This was around the time Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock were dating so we dressed like them.  Everywhere we went that night people were yelling, Kid Rock and Pam. I definitely danced on the bar that evening...drunko.

This was our first Halloween together when we were dating.  We won 1st place as the dead bride and groom...we also stayed in character for this one and walked into the party  like we were walking down the aisle for our wedding and people just stopped and stared....so much fun.   The dress had paper bats glued to it and I threw leaves in my hair to resemble having just unearthed myself....boooo.  If anyone needs a costume  idea just let me know and I will be happy to help you.  These are just a few of my favorites...there are plenty more.  Have a great day and get inspired it's spooky time.  Dawn xo

HOLLY GOLIGHTLY....halloween party costume

Pretend smoking of course...

Love the classic hearse parked at the party.... who drove up in this?  I wanna meet them.

Thrifted shoes, necklaces, bag, faux mink stole, dress from Ross for less than 10.00. Cig holder, gloves and sunglasses at party city.  I always try to use what I have at home and then buy new what I can't find in the thrift stores.

Last  Halloween I had two parties to attend. Lucky me I know.  I love Halloween and diy costumes.  I always make my own even though I can't sew.  My husband and I dress up every year and if we know someone is giving out candy to the kids, we disguise ourselves and visit them.  Last season we visited Lisa of FortyishandFluffy.  She is taking a blogger break right now.  But she and her husband did not know it was Rob and I as we got our candy and left only to return in a few minutes to reveal ourselves to them. I know it's insane but fun.  I was Audrey Hepburn last season for one of the parties and Rob was this funny Kmart worker with a mullet.  I have to find those photos and I will post them as well.  Have a great Saturday.  I have to work all weekend and this morning is yoga with the Seniors  yay.  I need it.  What will you be this year?   I would love to know....dawn xo
