INSPIRATION MONDAY...unzipped

Jessica Alba...inspiration outfit

Cache jeans, Ann Taylor button down, vintage faux fur wrap with pockets, and vintage bag ALL THRIFTED!!

Redzo my redheaded cat....personified he would be my gay son...I love him.

My new shoes by Naturalizer from Macy's are bumming me out.  They just happen to hit a nerve on the top of my foot where I had surgery years ago.

All vintage details...thrifted

Hello and happy Monday.  I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend.  I was off for 4 days and enjoyed all of it.  I finally got around to dying my roots which were about 2 inches long.  I saw my natural color...mousy brown, and remembered why I originally began dying it red.  What's that? You thought I was a natural redhead?  I am, it's our secret.  I finally went thrifting after 2 weeks and only spent $28.00 bucks.  I scored some nice things but tried to stick to items that I will wear now.  You have to check out http://www.twobirdsboutique.blogspot.com/ today for Inspiration Monday with Jessica Alba as our inspiration.  It is a laid back, cool, casual, look which is what I am all about, usually.  I did the entire shoot with my zipper down.   I got a good chuckle when I came inside and walked past the mirror in my room.  Yep, unzipped!!!  Glad I changed my mind about going somewhere else for the shoot.  I got some good belly hurting, deep, silent, eyes tearing, laughs out of  this post by Nita over at Mod Vintage Life...go there now and read but also give her some woman to woman blogger love for the tough times she has been having lately.  We love you Nita, I can't  stop laughing when I think about your incident.  Wishing you the best girl.   A shout out goes to Patti of Not Dead Yet Style as I will be linking up to her Visible Monday. Stop by and join the fun.   Dawn xoxo

HIGH WAIST AND VINTAGE PLAID/TARTAN...

Hello, hope you are having a good start to your blogging week and if you are not a blogger but do follow along, hope you are having a lovely day.  Did you ever wake up and feel energized and ready to conquer the day with coffee pumping through your system and not too bad of a hair day when all of a sudden, the morning just goes to the toilet?  Well that is how my day started.  I did  manage however to do this shoot on my deck for Ralph Lauren, who called me last night from home and asked me to come up with something sorta equestrian but with vintage plaid.  So here is my shoot....hope he approves.

ok back to reality...Timothy Winter got out this morning and ran under my deck twice.  I was pissed.  I wish that I had a video of  both times.  I had to coax him out with a stalk of the tall ornamental grass and then try to grab him through the lattice that the dogs tore to pieces this past summer.  I was muddy, cold, and p.o.'d but when he saw me on my knees trying to peek under there, he rolled over in the dirt thinking I was trying to play...it just went on and on until he finally gave up and poked his little head out and I grabbed his little nape and brought him back in.  The second time he got out was even more fun...I won't bore you with the details.  This is very time consuming...next time he can find a new home.  You know I don't mean that.  Vintage plaid jacket by Shirley Sobel at The Fashion Boutique Philadelphia, I doubt they are still in business.  My entire outfit is from Goodwill, including my 14kt gold hoops that they let slip by for .99cents.

INSPIRATION MONDAY....Vanessa Hudgens on the prowl...

Vanessa Hudgens
Please don't expect me to be too serious about fashion in the next 2 weeks.  I get so excited around this time with the perfect weather and chill in the air.  Today I am linking up to Two Birds for Inspiration Monday and Patti at Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday.  They will all think I have lost my mind when they see this post....but of all the things I've lost, I do miss my mind the most.

Me being serious for a minute.  Thrifted everything except for my Coach earrings which I got on sale at the retail store here in town and my pleated shirt Lauren Conrad for Kohl's on sale.

These Coach earrings are a favorite of mine but I can't wear them to work....too big.

Meow...I am in my graveyard....

Thrifted cat mask...

Like my decorated fireplace for Halloween?  Wait until you see it at night...spookyyy!!  I almost forgot Vanessa Hudgens our inspiration for today...
